Mid West Annual Economic Forum 2026 - June
The forum provided an important opportunity to engage with regional business leaders, government representatives, industry stakeholders and community members on the project's progress and its role in supporting economic growth across the Mid West.
Throughout the event, the project team particpated in panel discussions and hosted an exhibition booth to share updates on development activities, planning milestones and the broader benefits that renewable energy investment can bring to the region. Discussions focused on the significant opportunity for the Mid West to attract new industries, create local employment opportunities and establish itself as a leading renewable energy hub for Western Australia. The forum also provided valuable opportunities to gather feedback and better understand stakeholder priorities as the project continues to advance.
Walkaway Tavern Community Information Session - June
The project team hosted a Community Information Session at the local Walkaway Tavern. The session provided residents, landholders and interested stakeholders with the opportunity to meet directly with project representatives, ask questions and discuss the proposed development in an informal setting.
The event included updates on project design, environmental assessments, planning approvals and construction considerations. Community members were encouraged to share their feedback, concerns and suggestions, helping to inform ongoing project development. The session reinforced the team's commitment to ensuring local voices are heard and considered throughout the planning and approvals process.
Mullewa Show - August
The Mid West Wind Farm team was pleased to attend the Mullewa Show again in 2026, providing another valuable opportunity to engage with the broader regional community. As one of the area's longstanding community events, the show enabled the project team to connect with local residents, farming families, businesses and community groups in a relaxed and familiar environment.
Visitors to the project display were able to learn more about the proposed wind farm, view project information and speak directly with team members about the development. Discussions covered a range of topics including project timing, local economic benefits, land use compatibility and renewable energy development in the region.
